Seaway Announces New Album ‘Hoser,’ Streams New Song on PropertyOfZack.com

image

Canadian pop-punk quintet Seaway recently announced the October 15 release date for its debut full-length record, ‘Hoser.’ Now the band is streaming the first song available from the album, “Too Fast For Love,” on PropertyOfZack.com

Listen: Seaway - “Too Fast For Love”

The record can be preordered now in the Mutant League Records webstore. Additionally, Seaway will be hitting the road with long-time friends Bellwether this fall. The 10-date Canadian tour routing can be seen below, along with the album art and tracklist from ‘Hoser.’

"Too Fast For Love" offers up a great example of what Seaway brings to the table. Vocalist Ryan Locke meshes with guitarist / backup vocalist Patrick Carleton to create a raw, fresh approach to the edgier side of pop-punk. Ultimately, the sound strikes as similar to Four Year Strong, Set Your Goals and The Wonder Years’ earlier records.

Carleton offered the following take on the band’s new song: “It’s about focusing on yourself and staying young while doing so. Relationships are great, but so are one night stands.”

Drummer Ken Taylor added the following statement on Hoser as an entity: ”’Hoser’ is good mix of all the things we wanted to accomplish with this band from the start. In a time where there is a lot of focus on what is “cool” or popular these days, we tried to shy away from changing our sound too drastically. With that being said, we weren’t afraid to push the limits of our own sound, adding stronger elements of pop and rock that help to diversify our sound and also to hopefully draw in new listeners. ‘Hoser’ is how we envisioned Seaway from the start, and the lyrics and music reflect that. In the end we’re just a bunch of fucking hosers.”

Please link to the song stream and preorder page for the record. If you would like a review copy of ‘Hoser’ or you want to set up any other press opportunities surrounding the album’s release, please email exit384media@gmail.com.

Pentimento Streams New Song “Any Minute Now” from New EP ‘Inside The Sea’

Not many people are fans of the city of Buffalo, NY, and that’s OK. The Bills are usually a bad NFL franchise and it’s a part of this annoying sentenceBut let’s face it, Buffalo has some redeeming qualities, and one of them is Pentimento

The emo/punk quartet is streaming “Any Minute Now,” the first song to be released from its upcoming EP, Inside The Sea. The track can be heard exclusively on AbsolutePunk.net right now (bit.ly/AnyMinute)Inside The Sea drops on October 22 via Paper + Plastick Records.

Additionally, the group launched preorders today for Inside The Sea on 10” vinyl and digital formats. There are four vinyl variants and a few other preorder bundles available now
via the Paper + Plastick webstore (bit.ly/InsideTheSea).

AbsolutePunk.net compares the band to Taking Back Sunday in its exclusive premiere feature, which we tend to agree with … think of Tell All Your Friends with hints and flashes of Jimmy Eat World and Hot Water Music, and you have a pretty good idea of what to expect from Inside The Sea

Pentimento recently announced a fall tour supporting Real Friends on a full U.S. headliner. Those tour dates can be seen below, along with all the album info.

If you’d like to set up any coverage with the band surrounding this album release, please email exit384media@gmail.com. We can provide advance copies of the EP for review, press passes to upcoming tour dates or set up an interview! Thank you for your support of the band.

Pentimento Announces New Four-Song EP, Inside The Sea

image

Pentimento and Paper + Plastick Records are excited to announce today the release of a new Pentimento EP, titled “Inside The Sea.” The four-song EP will be released digitally and on 10” vinyl via Paper + Plastick on October 22, 2013.

Below, you can check out the tracklisting, album art and a statement from the band. The Buffalo, NY-based punk/indie/emo quartet also released a video featuring some information from the band about the release and shots of the group recording Inside The Sea in the studio!

Watch: Pentimento - “Inside The Sea” studio video

"Inside The Sea" was recorded by Jay Zubricky (Every Time I Die, Kid Gorgeous), mixed by Vince Ratti (Circa Survive, The Wonder Years, Title Fight) and mastered by Stephen Egerton (Descendents, Less Than Jake, MxPx).

The announcement of this new release comes just two days after Pentimento announced that it would be supporting one of the most highly anticipated tours of the fall. The band will be heading out on a cross-country trek for over a month with Real Friends, Mixtapes and Forever Came Calling. All of the dates can be seen below and more information about the tour can be seen at PropertyOfZack.com. The tour winds through Gainesville, FL, for a Pentimento appearance at Fest 12 as well.

"Inside The Sea" is the follow-up to Pentimento’s wonderfully received self-titled debut full-length record. The album was released online for free in November, then re-released on vinyl by Paper + Plastick in March. The record grew the band’s fanbase exponentially and was praised nearly universally by music critics. AbsolutePunk.net wrote, “Pentimento [is] a favorite to truly make a name for themselves in 2013” in their 8.3/10 review, and with “Inside The Sea,” it seems as though that prediction will be correct. The new EP sees Pentimento expanding upon its core sound while exploring new sounds, sometimes louder and sometimes softer. This band is more dynamic than it has ever been before.

The group released the following statement to accompany the announcement of “Inside The Sea”:

"If I had to say something about the sound of the band at this point, or what people can expect from this EP - the only thing that comes to mind is that this music sounds urgent. It all happened seemingly at once, which is what makes this release different from the ones before it.  There wasn’t a riff we’ve been kicking around for months and then decided to make a song out of it. There wasn’t a bunch of words in a notebook that seemed to make sense to use for something. It just happened. The songs sound like they needed to come out. We did not spend months on top of months mulling the parts over. We did not lock ourselves in a room until we felt like we were finished. We did not take our time recording them. We decided it was time to do something, and then we did it. The product of all this is an EP representing a very particular and uncertain and most of all scary time period between the release of the full length, and where we’re at now as a band and as people.  It’s very exciting to have the chance to support this EP on tour with Real Friends, Mixtapes and Forever Came Calling this Fall because now that the pressure we put on ourselves to record these songs is off, the next step is turning attentions to the voice in the four of us that screams to share what we’ve been doing with as many people as possible."

A new song and preorders for the 10” will be released next week. To set up coverage with Pentimento surrounding this release or to check out one of the shows on their fall tour, just email exit384media@gmail.com. We would love a news post about the release (all details below!) and you can embed the in-studio video

Reverse The Curse Streams New Record!

Existent streaming now on SoundCloud

Reverse The Curse is now streaming its sophomore full-length record, Existenton SoundCloud. The stream can be embedded onto your website!

Listen and embed: Reverse The Curse - Existent

The Hiram, OH-based post-rockers take a huge step forward in their second album for Paper + Plastick Records. ThePunkSite.com agrees with that sentiment, praising Existent in a ringing endorsement of a 4.5/5-star review:

"Words hardly do Existent justice.  It’s the type of album that takes many trips to the thesaurus to pinpoint just the right adjectives to spotlight the brilliance within.  Even half way through the year and it’s clear – Reverse The Curse has crafted the post-hardcore album of the year (if you can really peg Existent into a discernable genre).  If Hither & Yon put Reverse The Curse on the map, then Existent makes them a destination landmark.”

The record can be purchased in the Paper + Plastick Records webstore

Red City Radio To Release Titles on October 15

Sophomore full-length Titles comes out 10/15/2013 via Paper + Plastick Records; album teaser online now; tour dates announced

image

Red City Radio and Paper + Plastick Records have excitedly announced today details of a brand-new Red City Radio record. The new album, called Titles, is the band’s second full-length album and the follow-up to Red City Radio’s widely acclaimed debut, The Dangers of Standing Still.

This highly anticipated sophomore record from the Oklahoma City-based punk quartet will be released via Paper + Plastick on October 15, 2012. Artwork and tracklisting can be seen below.

Additionally, the group has released a teaser video with a song clip from a song called “The Silence Between,” which is the closing song on Titles. Red City Radio will release a full brand-new song called “Show Me On the Doll Where the Music Touched You” next week, on August 13.

Watch and embed: Red City Radio – Titles announcement

Red City Radio has also announced a fall tour in support of Big D and The Kids Table, from mid-October into November. The tour will wind through THE FEST in Gainesville, Fla., where Red City Radio will perform once again to a raucous crowd. The teaser video that the band released contains some video of their performance from Fest 11 last year, courtesy of HearNebraska.org. All tour dates can be seen below the album art and tracklisting!

The Dangers of Standing still made a slew of Top 10 lists at the end of 2011, including a top-five finish in Punknews.org’s reader poll. The album was praised by critics, who wrote that “[this] is the kind of debut that isn’t likely to leave your stereo in the foreseeable future” (AbsolutePunk.net, 86%) and that Red City Radio plays “intelligent, emotive punk rock at its finest” (Alternative Press, 4/5 Stars).

At the end of the day, Red City Radio brings a blunt, passionate brand of punk-rock to the table. But while The Dangers of Standing Still was sometimes dubbed as a straightforward punk album – albeit it a really good straightforward punk album – the band has assured fans that Titles will be different, while still retaining Red City Radio’s signature sound. A statement from the band can be read below:

We know we’re overdue for a new full-length. We realized that when we were on tour with The Ataris last year. So after we toured with Broadway Calls at the beginning of this year, we settled down and started writing a new record. We knew we had to do something better this time; something different in terms of song craft and delivery, and that added a lot more pressure. It was also our first time recording without the help of Stephen Egerton. But with the very talented Kendall Stephens producing, and our bassist Jojo assisting, we decided to take some risks. The end result is a punk-rock record that’s reliant on the “rock” side of things. There’s lots of vocal melodies, like you’re used to hearing with Red City Radio songs. But this album is a lot more personal, and there are a lot of things on here that our fans haven’t heard from us before. We think it’s our bets work, and we hope you like it.

Please post the teaser video along with the album details in your news feed if you can! Everything you need should be in this press release. Email exit384media@gmail.com if you would like to set up an interview with the band.

The Moms produce a sophisticated, yet earth shattering, punk rock sound that can not be easily categorized, but can be easily enjoyed. Resulting from a crystallization of the bands frenetic energy and diverse influences, The Moms’ single “Bedtime” from their debut release “Viva!” has propelled them onto a new stage of recognition and performance as one of the nations top up and coming punk rock artists. Molded out of the dark dingy basements of New Jersey which sculpted their sound as a young band, The Moms have hit the road hard coming off of a full national tour this past spring and have set plans to tour down to their Fest debut in Gainesville, FL this October. The Moms have  honed the ability to attract listeners upon first hearing the band, allowing them to transition their fan base from a strong local following to an attentive and engaged nationwide following. Having shared the stage with influential artists such as The Ataris, The Flatliners, Cheap Girls, The Menzingers, and Make Do And Mend, The Moms are set to defy expectations and continue to carve path of their own within the ever expanding punk rock circuit.
